Construction of the viaduct started in 1910 as part of regional railway expansion and was completed in 1914. The project represented a significant engineering achievement of its era, overcoming challenging conditions to cross the river.
The structure represents Polish engineering excellence and stands as the longest technological monument in Poland, registered in the national cultural heritage list.
