Rozbrat, Self-managed social center in Jeżyce, Poznań, Poland.
Rozbrat is a self-managed social center housed in a former industrial building that brings together multiple spaces under one roof. A bicycle workshop, screen-printing studio, anarchist library, infoshop, and community kitchen allow visitors to share resources and work together.
The space began in 1994 when activists occupied an abandoned factory building and transformed it into a base for community projects. Since 1997, it has also served as a headquarters for an anarchist organization, establishing itself as a long-term initiative in the city.
The space serves as a gathering place for people interested in alternative ways of living and independent thought. Regular concerts, exhibitions, and workshops organized by community members reflect the values of those who use the space daily.
The center welcomes visitors, particularly during scheduled events and open days when workshops and gatherings take place. It helps to inquire about opening times for specific areas like the workshop or library before your visit to make the most of it.
The center houses an extensive collection of anarchist literature and independent publications available for visitors to explore. This library documents alternative political thought and makes it accessible to those interested in being inspired by it.
