Rogowiec, Mountain summit in Lower Silesia, Poland
The Rogowiec peak rises to 870 meters above sea level within the Suche Mountains range, featuring steep slopes and exposed rock formations.
The medieval castle on Rogowiec summit was constructed under the direction of Polish Prince Bolko I during the thirteenth century as a defensive structure.
Local hiking groups organize annual autumn expeditions to Rogowiec summit, maintaining traditional mountain climbing practices of the Lower Silesian region.
Visitors can reach the summit through marked trails starting from Grzmiąca village or by following the path from the Rybna valley entrance.
The north side of Rogowiec contains geological formations created by post-Ice Age tectonic movements, including substantial landslide areas.
