Schronisko na Kudłaczach, Mountain hut in Beskid Makowski, Poland.
Schronisko na Kudłaczach is a wooden mountain shelter located at 730 meters (2,395 feet) elevation that accommodates 26 guests in separate rooms. The hut sits within a network of marked trails that wind through surrounding forests.
The hut was constructed in 1994 by the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society, marking one of its final projects before the organization ceased building new shelters. This period represented a significant transition in how mountain accommodations were developed in the region.
The shelter serves as a gathering place where hikers and local people share traditional regional dishes that reflect the food customs of the Beskid Makowski area.
The shelter can be reached by a four-hour hike from Pcim village, with black and yellow marked trails beginning near the BZOMEX wholesale area. Sturdy footwear and adequate water supplies are essential for the climb through forested terrain.
The Lubomir Observatory sits about one hour away on foot, offering visitors the chance to observe the night sky from an elevated location. This pairing of mountain hiking with stargazing creates an uncommon visit experience.
