Town Hall in Nowy Sącz, Municipal building in Nowy Sącz, Poland

The Town Hall in Nowy Sącz is a municipal administrative building topped with a clock tower that rises above the market square. Its exterior displays a blend of Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Baroque architectural details, including ornamental elements that frame windows and entrances.

A major fire destroyed the previous structure in 1894, leading to the construction of the current building in 1897 as part of the city's reconstruction. This rebuilding represented an important step in modernizing and reshaping the city center.

The main hall displays detailed murals by artist Piotr Spitzmann-Karwosiecki showing important moments in the city's past. These paintings help visitors understand how the place has changed and grown over time.

The building sits at Rynek 133-300 right on the market square and is easy to locate in the city center. Since it functions as an active administrative center, be aware that some interior areas may be restricted during working hours.

The building combines multiple architectural styles from the late 19th century in an eclectic design that sets it apart from other Polish town halls. This blend of different influences makes it a noteworthy example of the artistic innovations of its era.
