The District Museum contains exhibition halls displaying archaeological findings, historical artifacts, and regional art collections across multiple floors of the building.
Founded in the late 19th century, the museum's original collection was destroyed during World War II when ammunition storage exploded in 1945.
The museum maintains exhibitions about local ethnic groups including Lachy, Sądecki Highlanders, Pogórzanie, Lemkos, Germans, and Roma communities.
Visitors can access the museum Tuesday through Thursday from 10:00 to 15:00, Friday until 17:30, and weekends from 09:00 to 14:30.
The museum operates seven branches across different locations, including the Galician Town which reconstructs late 19th-century small-town architecture.
