Wysoki Kamień Hostel, Mountain hut in Jizera Mountains, Poland.
Wysoki Kamień Hostel is a mountain hut in the Jizera Mountains located at about 1050 meters elevation. The accommodation provides rooms for two to ten people with essential facilities and dining services for travelers.
The building opened in 2010 on the former site of Gross-Iser village, which vanished after World War II. Only this structure and a woodshed remain from the earlier settlement.
The hostel keeps Polish mountain traditions alive by serving regional dishes like cheese and mushroom pancakes to hikers. Visitors experience local food customs in this refuge high in the peaks.
The hut sits along several winter hiking trails and is accessible via simple paths or marked routes from the surrounding area. Most visitors arrive on foot from nearby hiking trails.
The location offers direct access to multiple cross-country ski trails perfect for winter visitors. From here guests can easily reach the nearby Sky Walk observation tower, designed by architect Zdenek Franek.
