Schronisko na Polanie Pisanej, Mountain hut in Dolina Kościeliska Valley, Poland.
Pisana-Hütte was a stone and timber structure located in Dolina Koscieliska Valley at around 1020 meters elevation in the Western Tatra Mountains. The building provided lodging and meals for mountaineers and hikers using the alpine trails in the area.
The shelter was operated by the Berestków family during World War II and provided refuge to resistance fighters until German forces arrested the family in 1941. It was rebuilt and reopened in 1946 after the war ended.
The hut functioned as a gathering place where hikers met and organized excursions to the nearby cave systems in the valley. It served as a social hub for mountaineers passing through the Western Tatra region.
Visitors should be prepared for the high altitude and alpine conditions, bringing warm and sturdy clothing regardless of the season. The hiking season is best from spring through fall when the trails are most accessible.
The structure was demolished in 1987 by a film crew during production of the movie Trojkat Bermudzki. The site was never rebuilt, making it a vanished landmark from the region's mountain heritage.
