Salwator, Residential district in Kraków, Poland

The district features a long, tree-lined avenue that extends from the Wisła River to the Kościuszko Mound, bordered by churches and villas.

The Norbertine Sisters, who established their monastery near Salwator in the 12th century, controlled most of the district's land until 1910.

The Salwator Cemetery contains the graves of notable figures including writer Stanisław Lem and film director Andrzej Wajda.

Visitors can reach Salwator by taking tram lines 1 or 2, or walking twenty-five minutes from Kraków's main market square.

The district includes a garden city of thirty villas constructed following an architectural design competition in 1910.
