Willa Brunona Hermanna w Poznaniu

Willa Brunona Hermanna is a three-story brick villa on 28 June 1956 Street that features white cornices, decorative pilasters, detailed window frames, and a tower topped with an ornamental dome. The residence covers roughly a thousand square meters and displays refined architectural details throughout its exterior.

Industrial entrepreneur Bruno Hermann built this residence in 1895, and furniture manufacturer Bruno Toussaint purchased the property in 1908. The building underwent significant changes in use over the following decades.

The villa displays French architectural elements with a columned portico and ornate exterior details that give the structure an elegant, formal appearance. These features reflect the taste of wealthy industrial families who built grand residences in this part of the city.

The building is now owned by Adam Mickiewicz University, which has been undertaking renovation work since 1996 to preserve the original features. Visitors should check ahead to confirm access, as restoration work may affect when the site is open to the public.

Between the World Wars, the property transformed into a furniture factory under W. Nowakowski and Sons, then later served as kindergarten number 88 after World War II. This shifting use reveals how the building adapted to different needs across several decades of historical change.
