Zalew Borki, Water reservoir in Borki district, Radom, Poland.
Zalew Borki is a water reservoir in the Borki district of Radom covering approximately 9 hectares of surface. The shoreline features reeds and bulrushes, with a designated beach section on its northeastern side.
The reservoir was created in the 1970s, replacing an earlier mill pond. Significant renovations between 1999 and 2001 addressed water retention and improved its functionality.
The water body hosts numerous community events throughout the year, including music festivals, sports competitions, and the Trzeźwości Marathon along its surrounding paths.
Visitors can swim, kayak, and fish at this location with equipment rental and food services available near the shore. The best experience is during warmer months when all facilities are fully operational.
Water passes through settling ponds that filter flow from the Mleczna and Kosówka rivers before reaching the main basin. This filtration process supports a variety of fish species including pike, carp, perch, and catfish in the water.
