The Wieża Górnośląska is a steel structure at the Poznań International Fair featuring a distinctive sixteen-sided geometric form and weighing 1,375 tons. The tower originally housed a water tank in its upper section that stored and distributed water to surrounding neighborhoods.
The tower was built in 1911 for an East German Industrial Exhibition and served as a water storage facility for city development. In 1947, the upper water tank section was removed while the lower portion remained, later serving different purposes.
