Zatorek Lake, Lake in Wisełka, Poland
Zatorek Lake is a small lake near the village of Wisełka, in northern Poland, set within a dense forest on land managed by the State Forests. It has wooden piers along the shore and a parking area near the regional road.
The lake has been part of the local landscape for generations and has long served as a fishing spot for people from the surrounding area. The land around it came under State Forests management, which helped keep the site in its natural condition.
The lake is well known among anglers, as it holds pike, eel, perch, roach, carp, tench, and bream. A fishing permit is required in advance, which keeps the practice regulated and the water well stocked.
The lake is visible from the regional road and there is a parking area right next to the water, making it easy to reach on foot. Visitors who plan to fish should arrange a permit before arriving, as it cannot be purchased on site.
Although Zatorek is one of the smallest lakes near Wisełka, it attracts bird watchers who come to spot pochards, mute swans, and reed warblers along the shore. The mix of fishing piers and barbecue spots within a forest, just a short distance from the Baltic coast, makes for an unusual combination.
