The Renaissance basilica stands atop a moraine hill, featuring a circular layout with a central dome and surrounding chapels on its perimeter.
Construction of the basilica took place between 1675 and 1698, following architectural patterns inspired by the Venetian Santa Maria della Salute church.
The sanctuary contains a Gothic-Renaissance statue of Mater Dolorous and an image of the Virgin Mary with Child holding a rose.
The sanctuary welcomes visitors daily at Święta Góra in Głogówko, offering guided tours of the basilica and its monastic complex.
The well on the premises holds a statue that remained underwater for twelve years until a light revealed its location.
