Collegium Minus is an academic building at Jagiellonian University with Gothic and Renaissance features, including carved stone details and evenly spaced windows across its walls. Inside, multiple floors and courtyards with arcaded galleries supported teaching and scholarly work over centuries.
The building rose after the university was founded in 1364 and became the heart of medieval academic life in Kraków. Over centuries, parts were rebuilt and enlarged to meet changing educational needs.
The rooms hold collections of old papers and objects that show how Polish scholarship developed over centuries. Walking through, you notice how students and teachers have used these same spaces for generations.
