Jaskinia Radochowska

Jaskinia Radochowska is a natural cave in the Złote Mountains that stretches through marble corridors for several hundred meters. The most striking feature is a chamber with a Gothic appearance that contains an underground lake surrounded by rock formations.

The cave was first discovered in the 1700s when people from the nearby spa town of Lądek Zdrój began exploring its accessible sections. These early visits marked the beginning of interest in underground natural wonders in this region.

The name comes from the nearby village of Radochów. Today, visitors can observe how the natural setting shapes the character of this place, drawing people interested in geology and underground exploration.

Visitors follow a designated route through part of the cave with safety equipment provided to navigate the passages comfortably. The temperature inside remains cool year-round, so wearing a warm layer is advisable.

The underground lake contains specialized organisms that have adapted to permanent darkness and exist only in such isolated cave systems. These unique life forms make the lake a spot of natural scientific interest.
