Jaskinia w Trzech Kopcach

Jaskinia w Trzech Kopcach is a limestone cave in Silesian Voivodeship featuring multiple interconnected chambers containing stalactites and stalagmites. These rock formations developed gradually through the deposition of minerals in groundwater seeping through the stone layers over millennia.

The cave was discovered in 1946 and revealed evidence of human occupation stretching back thousands of years in the region. Archaeological findings established that the Silesian Beskids area had been inhabited since ancient times.

The name refers to three hills nearby that shape how local people perceive and relate to this place. Visitors can observe how the site connects to regional stories and remains part of the local landscape's character.

The cave maintains constant temperature year-round, creating a specialized habitat where several bat species establish colonies. Visitors may observe these adapted creatures in their natural shelter if visiting during certain seasons.
