Schronisko THF "Chata Wuja Toma" na przełęczy Karkoszczonka

The wooden mountain shelter stands at 715 meters above sea level, featuring traditional highland architecture with accommodations spread across multiple rooms and seasonal cottages.

Originally built as a highland cottage in 1918, the building served as a student tourist shelter under the Socialist Union of Polish Students during the 1970s.

The shelter takes its name from Harriet Beecher Stowe's novel, offering Polish mountain cuisine and regular regional celebrations throughout the year.

The facility provides 30 sleeping spaces in rooms for two to five persons, with check-in time at 15:00 and check-out at 10:00.

Located at the intersection of multiple hiking trails, the shelter serves as a starting point for reaching Polish Crown Mountains peaks within a day's journey.
