Błatnia, Mountain summit in Jaworze, Poland.
Błatnia is a mountain summit in the Silesian Beskids standing at 917 meters high, its slopes covered entirely in thick forest. The terrain changes naturally as you climb, creating a varied walking experience through the woodland.
The mountain area held strategic importance after World War II when an armed resistance group operated in these mountains under the leadership of Henryk Flame. This period left marks on the local landscape and collective memory of the region.
The shelter near the summit serves as a gathering place where hikers share meals and stories with others who love the mountains. Locals and visitors meet here to enjoy regional dishes and connect over their passion for walking these slopes.
Four marked trails lead to the summit starting from different points around Jaworze-Nałęże, with one popular blue route beginning near the parking area by St. John Nepomucen Church. Choose your starting point based on how much time and effort you want to spend on the climb.
From the top you can see several major peaks of the Silesian Beskids stretching across the horizon, including Skrzyczne and Barania Góra in the distance. Clear days reward you with views all the way to Bielsko-Biała city nestled in the valley below.
