Skrzyczne

Skrzyczne is the highest peak in the Silesian Beskids, reaching about 1,257 meters (4,124 feet) above sea level. The mountain is crossed by several marked trails and features a chairlift system that operates from the nearby town of Szczyrk during winter months.

The mountain region shifted between different rulers over the centuries, passing through Polish, Habsburg, and Prussian control. These changes influenced how the area developed and connected to its surroundings.

The mountain serves as a gathering place for hikers and winter sports enthusiasts from the surrounding region who maintain local traditions here. This long-standing use has shaped the area and made it an integral part of the community's identity.

The best way to explore the mountain is using the clearly marked trails, which accommodate different fitness levels. Summer is ideal for hiking, while winter brings snow and conditions suitable for winter sports activities.
