Saint James church in Szczyrk, Wooden parish church in Szczyrk, Poland.

Saint James church is a wooden parish building in Szczyrk with traditional Silesian-style construction. The structure sits at an elevation of about 493 meters and displays the timber craftsmanship typical of the region.

Construction of this house of worship began in 1797 and was completed in 1800, following an imperial decree permitting local religious services. The project arose during a period when new religious buildings were being established in this area.

The church holds religious items once belonging to a dissolved Premonstratensian monastery, including baroque candlesticks and bell work from past centuries. Visitors can observe these pieces displayed within the wooden structure today.

The church is located at Kolorowa Street 1 and serves as an active parish within the Diocese of Bielsko-Żywiec. Visitors should remember that this is a working place of worship where respectful behavior is expected during religious services.

The church houses an unusual stole that was crafted from a noble waist belt by hand. Near the baroque pulpit stands a stone baptismal font from the building's founding period.
