Kozia Góra, Mountain summit in Silesian Beskids, Poland.
Kozia Góra is a peak in the Silesian Beskids that rises to 683 meters above sea level. The mountain is covered by beech forests, which appear particularly dense and thick on its northeastern flank.
Around 1900, German residents of the area built a round gazebo at the summit named Steffansruhe, dedicated to the mayor Karl Steffan of that time. This structure marked the connection between the local community and the mountain landscape.
The place reflects the region's religious diversity, where different faith communities lived side by side over centuries. Visitors can discover this history while hiking and understand how people here practiced their beliefs.
The climb is easy to manage, and most hikers can reach the summit quickly. Along the way, there is a lodge called Stefanka where visitors can rest, eat, or spend the night.
Until the early 2000s, the mountain was known for a natural toboggan run that stretched about 2200 meters and wound through many curves. This run was once the longest of its kind in Europe and drew many visitors.
