Kino Cytryna, Movie theater in Середмістя-Схід, Łódź, Poland.
Kino Cytryna was a movie theater in central Łódź with a screening room on the first floor holding approximately 236 seats. The venue occupied a building at Pomorska Street 39/41, making it easily accessible from downtown areas.
The cinema began operations in 1997 on Zachodnia Street before moving to Pomorska Street in 2009. It remained there until closing in September 2012, ending over a decade of film programming.
The theater showed independent and European films along with Polish productions, serving as an alternative to mainstream cinemas in the city. Its programming reflected the tastes of viewers who sought out more thoughtful cinema.
The screening room was located on the first floor, making it easy for visitors to access without climbing many stairs. Being situated in the downtown area meant the venue was conveniently reachable on foot or by public transportation.
During its closing event, the theater screened two classic films as a final farewell to its audience. All proceeds from this last showing were donated to a nearby community center.
