Koskowa Góra, Mountain summit in Beskid Makowski, Poland.
Koskowa Góra is a mountain summit in the Beskid Makowski range that rises to 867 meters above sea level. The flat peak features a transmission tower visible from great distances, while a stone chapel sits at a pass between this summit and an adjoining mountain.
A stone chapel was built in 1910 at the pass with funding from Jan Kosek to serve travelers moving between mountains in the area. This structure has remained a landmark for hikers crossing the region ever since.
The chapel on the summit holds a striking stone sculpture showing Christ beneath the cross, with a wooden cross and stone base beside it. This religious site marks an important place of devotion for people traveling through the region.
The climb starts on paved roads leading to buildings before turning right onto field paths through farmland. From there, forest trails take you to the summit, with several marked routes available for hikers of different preferences.
The summit has seven different climbing routes that cover roughly 35 kilometers of total hiking distance. This variety allows visitors to experience different perspectives and choose paths that match their experience level.
