The Church of the Transfiguration stands with a single nave, featuring a tower at its northwest corner and external buttresses indicating Gothic origins.
Construction began in 1595 under Cathedral Dean Andrzej Kościelecki, who brought the Salvator Mundi statue from the Vatican to adorn the church.
The church maintains regular religious services, including the Novena to St. Anthony and weekly remembrance prayers for the deceased on Sunday mornings.
The church building connects to a monastery complex that now functions as Clinical Hospital Number 1 of the Poznań Medical University.
The interior features 265 square meters of cross-ribbed vaulting decorated with religious frescoes from 1750, restored in 2005 by painter Piotr Paweł Drozdowicz.
