Koziarz, Mountain peak in Beskid Sądecki, Poland
Koziarz is a 943-meter mountain peak at the western edge of the Radziejowa range, positioned between Jaworzynka and Suchy Groń. The summit is reached by marked trails that lead to an observation tower with enclosed stairs completed in recent years.
The mountain remained sparsely developed until new hiking and cycling routes were built in the early 2010s, followed by the observation tower. These additions made the area more accessible to visitors and expanded recreational opportunities.
The eastern slopes feature cultivated fields protected by wooden fences, showing how the land has been farmed here for generations in a traditional way.
Most people begin the climb from Łącko on clearly marked trails, which takes around an hour and a half to reach the summit. In winter, these paths remain walkable but require extra care due to potentially slippery sections.
The observation tower looks westward and northward, while the steep western slopes drop directly to the Dunajec River below, creating a dramatic landscape view. This position between the river valley and surrounding peaks gives visitors a distinctive perspective from the top.
