Cwil Hill, Artificial hill in Ursynów, Poland.
Cwil Hill is an artificial mound located within Park Romana Kozłowskiego, reaching about 108 meters high. Walking paths wind through the park connecting different sections, and from the top you can see across the surrounding neighborhoods toward the Warsaw skyline.
The mound was built in 1976 using soil and rubble from nearby construction projects in the area. It became part of the urban expansion of the Jary neighborhood and remains the highest elevation point in the Ursynów district.
The location draws families and neighbors who walk its paths and gather outdoors throughout the seasons. It offers a natural vantage point where people step away from the surrounding urban blocks and experience the area from above.
The site is best visited during dry weather when the paths are easiest to walk. Wear comfortable shoes since the routes vary in steepness and you may want to spend time exploring different areas of the park.
The hill carries the name of engineer Henryk Cwil, who proposed creating this elevation from construction waste material. It shows how urban planners transformed leftover rubble into a new public space for the neighborhood.
