Sanctuary of St. Valentine in Bieruń

The Sanctuary of St. Valentine features an octagonal structure made entirely of wood with a main altar containing two interchangeable paintings of the saint.

Built in 1601, the church initially stood outside Bieruń boundaries and gained recognition as a pilgrimage site for both couples and individuals seeking health remedies.

The church holds regular religious ceremonies and contains an 8-vocal organ from the 17th century, representing one of the most valuable musical instruments in Silesia.

Located at coordinates 50.0898N and 19.0934E, the sanctuary maintains scheduled visiting hours and requires visitors to follow religious site protocols.

The sanctuary contains two distinct paintings of St. Valentine: one from the early 18th century by an unknown artist and another from 1907 by Jan Nyga.
