Holy Trinity church in Koszęcin

The Holy Trinity Church in Koszecin is a wooden structure with a rectangular nave, narrow chancel ending in a semi-hexagon shape, and a tower built using post-and-beam techniques. Cloister-type covered walkways with wooden posts and mono-pitched roofs surround both the nave and chancel.

Construction of the current wooden structure began in 1721 following the destruction of a previous building and was completed in 1724. This swift rebuilding shows how important this place was to the local community.

The interior has flat ceilings in the nave and chancel decorated with religious altarpieces from the eighteenth century. These furnishings show the artistic devotion of the community at that time.

The building stands at the corner of Trójcy and Sobieskiego streets in the southern part of Koszecin and is easy to find. The surrounding covered walkways provide shelter and make it comfortable to explore the structure from all sides.

The cloister-style covered walkways with wooden posts and sloped roofs are an unusual feature for a wooden church in this region and reflect traditional building methods that are rarely seen today. This design lets visitors experience how craftspeople solved practical problems with simple materials centuries ago.
