Kujawsko-Dobrzyński Ethnographic Park in Kłóbka, Open-air ethnographic museum in Włocławek County, Poland.
The Kujawsko-Dobrzyński Ethnographic Park in Włocławek is an open-air museum spread across 13 hectares on both sides of the Lubieńka River valley, featuring traditional wooden buildings and a manor house complex. The collection includes 18 structures that represent rural life from the late 18th century through the 1930s.
The park was established in 1993 to preserve rural heritage from this region spanning several centuries. It documents how people lived in this area from the late pre-modern period through the early 20th century.
The manor house displays Gothic interiors and features exhibits about Maria Wodzińska Orpiszewska, a local figure once engaged to composer Frédéric Chopin, whose personal story connects to this place.
A visit requires enough time to explore the buildings spread across both sides of the river valley at a leisurely pace. Plan to wear comfortable shoes and choose your season carefully, as weather conditions affect the walkways throughout the grounds.
The museum operates functioning craft workshops, including a water mill with original grain processing equipment from the interwar period. Visitors can observe how traditional milling processes still work during special demonstrations.
