The brick church features a rectangular floor plan with an eastern sacristy, western tower, and gable roof topped by an octagonal steeple.
Built between 1676 and 1704 by order of the town council, the church replaced a medieval chapel dedicated to Saint Gertrude and Saint Lawrence.
The structure initially served multiple religious denominations, including Lutherans and Calvinists, before becoming a Catholic place of worship after World War II.
Located at Plac Staromiejski 1, the church maintains regular opening hours throughout the year for visitors and religious services.
A 25-meter-tall lime tree with a trunk diameter of 4.2 meters stands prominently in front of the church entrance.
