Kościół św. Katarzyny w Golubiu-Dobrzyniu

The Church of St. Catherine is a classicist structure with clean lines, built with a single nave, a square tower, and brick walls covered in plaster. The choir section is short and ends in a semicircular apse, creating an orderly interior layout.

The building was constructed between 1823 and 1827, funded by landowner Antoni Wybraniecki. Initially, the church received its furnishings from a former Dominican monastery in Torun, showing how religious assets were redistributed among places of worship.

The church takes its name from Saint Catherine of Alexandria, whose veneration is central to this place of worship. Over the years, the building has served as the spiritual and community center for local residents, shaping their religious practices and traditions.

Visitors can enter the church during worship hours to explore the interior. The building is easily accessible, and restoration work that began in 2006 means you will see well-maintained details during your visit.

An artist named Walerian Krowicki from Płock created murals inside the building in 1910, which remain as testimony to his creative hand. These works were protected through restoration efforts and stand among the building's most distinctive features.
