The Archdiocesan Museum occupies a historic building from the 1520s, displaying religious art collections spanning from medieval to modern periods.
Archbishop Florian Stablewski established the museum in 1898, making it the first museum institution in Poznań and one of the oldest in Poland.
The Gothic art collection features the most extensive array of 14th and 15th-century sculptures and paintings in this part of Poland.

The museum exhibits one of the rare paternal Pietà statues in Europe and houses the Madonna of Ołobok sculpture from 1320.
