Akademia Lubrańskiego – Archdiocesan Museum in Poznań, Renaissance religious museum in Ostrów Tumski, Poznań, Poland.

Akademia Lubrańskiego is a museum dedicated to religious art housed in a Renaissance building on Ostrów Tumski, displaying works from medieval times to the present. The collection focuses on Gothic sculptures and paintings from the 14th and 15th centuries, representing some of the most important examples in Central Europe.

The museum was founded in 1898 by Archbishop Florian Stablewski and was the first museum institution in Poznań at that time. Its establishment reflected the growing interest in preserving and documenting local religious artwork during the late 1800s.

The collection displays works that reflect how faith was expressed and valued by people in this region throughout centuries. The sculptures and paintings show the religious traditions that shaped the community.

The museum is located on Ostrów Tumski and provides accessible facilities for visitors with reduced mobility. It is advisable to check opening hours and admission options in advance, especially if you plan to use a city card.

The museum preserves one of Europe's rare paternal Pietà statues, a work of exceptional emotional power and intensity. Particularly noteworthy is the Madonna of Ołobok from 1320, a sculpture that demonstrates the artistic sensitivity of the medieval period.
