The four-hectare garden combines zoological and botanical elements, featuring 55 tree species and 47 different animal species in park-style outdoor areas and specialized buildings.
The garden's history dates back to 1797 when Dr. Johann Gottlieb Schultz acquired the land and transformed it into a botanical space before its modern opening in 1965.
The garden maintains educational programs and exhibitions that demonstrate the connection between Polish wildlife conservation efforts and environmental education for local communities.
Located at Bydgoska 7, the garden operates daily from 10:00 to 19:00 during summer months, with varying schedules in other seasons and reduced hours in winter.
Visitors can feed goats with special food purchased at the entrance and observe lemurs through glass panels or from an elevated observation platform.
