Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre

Grodzka Gate - NN Theatre is housed in a restored historic building that once connected two distinct neighborhoods of medieval Lublin. The space now contains an underground passage, exhibition areas focused on printing history, and facilities for theatrical performances and workshops.

The building originally served as a gate separating two distinct areas of the medieval city, marking the boundary between neighborhoods. It was restored and converted into a cultural institution starting in 1990, eventually becoming an independent organization with expanded programs.

The center presents the lives and histories of different communities that inhabited this city, with a special focus on how cultures coexisted here. Exhibitions and performances explore the diverse heritage that shaped Lublin's past and its neighborhoods.
