Park Dolny w Szczawnicy, Public park in Szczawnica, Poland
Park Dolny spans across the center of Szczawnica at the base of Bryjarka mountain, featuring curved paths, ponds, gardens, and a musical pavilion.
The park emerged between 1861 and 1868 when Józef Szalay leased 17.5 acres of land to the National Health Resorts Company for spa development.
The park includes a stone grotto from 1890 with a medallion honoring Mikołaj Zyblikiewicz, who marked the trail from Szczawnica to Red Monastery.
Visitors can access multiple mineral water springs within the park, including the Wanda source, and use various recreational facilities like playgrounds.
The park contains the historical Hydropatia building, formerly a water treatment facility where innovative medical procedures were conducted in the 19th century.
