Park Helenów in Łódź, Municipal park in Bałuty-Doły district, Łódź, Poland.
Park Helenów is a large public garden in the Bałuty-Doły district featuring artificial ponds, stone cascade waterfalls, and an extensive network of walking paths. The grounds also include tennis courts and sports fields situated near the Łódka River.
The park was founded in 1881 by the Anstadt brothers, brewery owners who received permission to develop the site. They named it after their wives, both of whom shared the same name.
The park was built by wealthy business owners as a gathering place where Łódź's upper class spent their leisure time. Its design with water features and pathways reflects the tastes of that era, when such spaces were central to social life.
The area features dedicated play zones for children and illuminated main pathways that make it easy to navigate and visit even as daylight fades. Numerous benches are positioned along the routes for resting.
The original park design included exotic elements no longer present today, such as an artificial lava grotto and a menagerie section. These features made it one of the most remarkable recreational destinations in the region during the 19th century.
