Kunszt Park in Tarnowskie Góry

Kunszt Park is a public green space in Tarnowskie Góry that covers about one hectare, with old linden trees surrounding a historical mining heap. A spiral pathway climbs to the summit, connecting different sections of the park and offering views as you ascend.

Silver and lead ore deposits were discovered here in 1784, leading to the establishment of the Friedrich Mine and transforming the region economically. The park as it exists today preserves the memory of this mining era through its layout and plant life.

The place is a gathering spot where locals reflect on the mining heritage that shaped their community. The old linden trees and the pathways offer a physical connection to the industrial past that defined the region.

The park is located on Parkowa Street and is easily accessible for visitors of all ages and mobility levels. The spiral pathways have varying slopes, so wear comfortable shoes and allow time for climbing if you wish to reach the summit.

Eleven original linden trees still stand in the park, some approximately 200 years old, bridging the gap between past and present. These trees once served as landmarks for miners and have witnessed generations of the region's transformation.
