Park Sienkiewicza in Łódź

Park Sienkiewicza is a public green space in the Katedralna district that stretches between three main streets and provides different areas for walking and rest. The grounds feature pathways, seating areas, and open lawns that locals and visitors use for recreation.

The park was established in 1896 as the third public green space in Łódź and was originally called Mikołajewski City Garden. In 1916, it received its current name in honor of writer Henryk Sienkiewicz.

The park displays French garden design along Sienkiewicza Street with structured pathways and classical features that visitors still encounter today during their walks. This approach shapes how people move through and experience the grounds when strolling around.

The park has several entrances connected to nearby bus stops and tram lines for easy access. You will find designated areas for children to play, dog walking zones, and open spaces for community gatherings spread throughout the grounds.

You can see a swan-shaped fountain dating from 1922 that was restored in 1998, adding a charming focal point to the grounds. Small terracotta animal figures and porcelain plant identification plates are scattered throughout, creating modest touches of detail.
