Palace of Art, Art exhibition palace in Old Town, Kraków, Poland.

The Palace of Art sits on Plac Szczepanski and features architecture inspired by ancient Greece, with Apollo's sculpted head above the main entrance. The building contains exhibition galleries, concert halls, and multiple performance spaces designed to showcase different forms of artistic expression.

The building was completed in 1901 and became the city's first Art Nouveau structure. It was commissioned by an arts patronage society that had been founded nearly 50 years earlier.

The exterior walls display relief carvings that show the artistic creative process through symbolic imagery. Visitors can observe these details while walking by and see how the decoration reflects the creative work happening inside.

The building sits directly on the main square and is easy to reach on foot. Plan to spend several hours if you want to explore the various galleries and spaces at a relaxed pace.

Stone busts set into the side wall niches honor notable artists from Kraków's early artistic period. These sculpted portraits capture figures who shaped the local creative scene during the building's formative years.
