The MiG-17PF monument stands as a full-scale Soviet fighter jet mounted on a pedestal at 2 Letnia Street in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski.
The monument was unveiled in 1984 as a gift from the Polish People's Army to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Polish People's Republic.
This preserved MiG-17PF aircraft, bearing factory number 58310949 and side number 949, represents one of only three remaining original models in Poland.
Visitors can access the monument at its new location on Letnia Street, where it was relocated in February 2023 after being purchased by a private collector.
The monument survived a 2010 sale attempt when 400 residents signed a petition to protect it, leading to renovation works in 2016.
