Bartolomeo Colleoni Monument in Warsaw, Bronze monument near Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw, Poland.

The Bartolomeo Colleoni Monument in Warsaw is a bronze statue of an Italian military commander in full armor mounted on a horse. The work displays realistic details of Renaissance equipment and stands in a public space near the Academy of Fine Arts.

This statue in Warsaw is a replica from 2001 based on an electrotype copy made in 1909 for Stettin. The original work was created in the 15th century in Venice by the artist Verrocchio.

The statue depicts an Italian military commander on horseback dressed in full armor, present in this Warsaw location. Art students use the work to study Renaissance techniques and how military leaders were portrayed.

The monument stands in a public space where visitors can view the statue from different angles. It is best to visit during daytime to see the fine details of the bronze and the warrior's clothing clearly.

The horse is shown in a rare pose with one hind leg raised, giving the rider a powerful and dynamic appearance. This movement was difficult to achieve and demonstrates the craftsmanship of the original artist.
