Pomnik Budowy Szosy Brzeskiej w Warszawie, Historic obelisk in Praga-Południe district, Warsaw, Poland.
The iron obelisk stands 14 meters tall on a rectangular base, featuring relief sculptures depicting panoramas of Warsaw, Siedlce, and Brest cities.
The monument was unveiled in 1825 to commemorate the construction of a paved road connecting Warsaw to Brest, built between 1820 and 1823.
The Warsaw Mint produced two commemorative medals to mark the completion of the Warsaw-Brest road, while art students created lithographs for an album.
Located on Grochowska Street, the monument underwent multiple restorations, including major renovations in 1896, 1917, and comprehensive work from 1961 to 1964.
The front of the obelisk displays the Roman numerals MDCCCXXII and includes realistic relief sculptures showing scenes from the road construction process.
