Town hall in Głogów, Classical town hall in Głogów, Poland
The town hall features a prominent tower reaching 80.35 meters, making it the tallest municipal building tower in the Silesia region of Poland.
Built initially in the 13th century as a watchtower, the structure underwent multiple reconstructions following fires in 1420, 1433, and a major restoration between 1823 and 1835.
The building combines architectural elements from two distinct styles: Prussian Classicism in one wing and Florentine design in the other wing.
The Municipal Office occupies the building since 2002, with an observation deck positioned at 47 meters offering views across the city.
During the 19th century, the town hall displayed a clock with reversed hands, which later received replacement from the award-winning Glogau Weiss clock factory.
