Muzeum Kresów w Lubaczowie

Muzeum Kresow w Lubaczowie is a regional museum housed in a three-story brick building with classical architectural features including cornices between floors. The collection includes three permanent exhibitions covering local history, everyday material culture, and traditions of the Eastern Borderlands.

The institution was founded in 1958 based on collections assembled by historian Wlodzimierz Czernecki and documents the heritage of Poland's Eastern Borderlands. It was established to preserve the history and culture of this region before it was lost to time.

The exhibition displays everyday objects and handcrafted items that show how residents lived and worked in this border region. The artifacts reveal local traditions and the practical skills that families passed down through generations.

The museum occupies a well-preserved brick building that is easy to locate in the town center. Visitors should check opening hours in advance to plan their visit appropriately.

The collection holds a substantial series of watercolors and sketches by local artist Marian Kopf that offer a rare artistic perspective on the region. These works form the heart of a special drawing section within the museum.
