Park Staszica in Łódź

Park Staszica is a roughly 4-hectare green space in central Łódź surrounded by four streets and featuring a central pond along with playground facilities. The space combines open areas with planted sections that provide shade and greenery throughout the park.

The park was established in the early 1900s as a public green space filled with a diverse range of plants meant to create a natural setting. Over time, certain trees and rock formations within its grounds were designated for protection to preserve them for the future.

The park honors Stanisław Staszic, a key figure in the city's early development, with his presence marked by a monument that locals pass by regularly. It serves as a space where the community connects with the city's past while enjoying everyday outdoor life.

The park can be entered from several directions, with the main entrance located along Narutowicza Street for easy access. Visitors can orient themselves using the four surrounding streets as reference points to find the areas they wish to explore.

The park is home to specially protected ancient trees and unusual rock formations that hold official natural monument status. These preserved elements make it a place where natural history is actively maintained and valued.
