Polish architect Efraim Schroeger completed the final renovation of the palace in 1780, transforming it into the residence of Gniezno archbishops.

The palace became the center of global diplomacy in 1884 when it hosted a significant meeting between three emperors of Europe.

Visitors can access the palace and its 30-hectare grounds, including carriagehouses and guardhouses, only on the first Saturday of each month.

The palace complex contains scientific research facilities operated by the Warsaw University of Life Sciences since the end of World War I.
