The Palace in Konary is an 18th-century manor house with thick stone walls and a classical roof, surrounded by a large park with old trees. The building features high ceilings, evenly spaced windows, and a main entrance framed by two large columns supporting a small balcony.
The palace was begun around 1744 and completed in 1756, then rebuilt and expanded by several noble families. Parts of the complex were reconstructed in the early 1800s to preserve it and adapt it to changing needs.
The palace was home to noble families for generations, and their coats of arms remain carved above the main entrance. These symbols connect visitors to the families who lived here and to the heritage that locals still value today.
The grounds are easy to explore on foot and have various pathways and places to rest, making it accessible for visitors of different abilities. Comfortable clothing and good footwear are recommended, as you will walk on unpaved paths through the park.
The park holds an exceptionally old plane tree that has stood here for centuries, a quiet witness to the building's changing history. These large trees are older and larger than the palace itself, directly connecting visitors to layers of time.
