Wieża widokowa w Suszynie, Observation tower in Suszyna, Poland
Wieża widokowa w Suszynie is an observation tower rising 27 meters high with a viewing platform positioned at 22 meters. The structure features reinforced concrete construction with a sandstone exterior that gives it a distinct appearance.
The tower was completed in December 2014 as part of a cross-border cooperation program between Poland and the Czech Republic. This project grew out of a broader partnership initiative that lasted from 2007 to 2013.
This tower demonstrates how contemporary architecture can be rooted in a region's building traditions. Its sandstone exterior connects modern design with materials that have been used locally for generations.
Reaching the viewing platform requires climbing approximately 140 stairs, which demands some physical effort. Visitors enjoy the best views on clear days and during early morning or late afternoon hours when lighting conditions are most favorable.
From the platform, visitors can see eight different mountain ranges including the Table Mountains and the Golden Mountains. This rare opportunity to observe multiple mountain chains from one location makes the climb particularly rewarding.
