Africarium, Oceanarium in Wrocław, Poland.
The Africarium features 21 pools and aquariums containing more than 350 species of fish and mammals from the African continent.
The Africarium emerged as an architectural addition to Wrocław Zoo in 2014, becoming the first facility in the world dedicated to African aquatic ecosystems.
The facility educates visitors about African marine environments through exhibits representing different regions, from the Red Sea to the Mozambique Channel.
Located within Wrocław Zoo at Wróblewskiego Street, the Africarium maintains extended operating hours from April to September, closing at 19:00.
Visitors walk through an 18-meter-long underwater tunnel observing sharks and rays swimming in the Mozambique Channel tank.
